Don’t get all delaminated!
You’ve seen it before, ripples and waves down the side of a fiberglass RV. If you ask, the owner or dealer will say, “Ya, it’s from being out in the sun.” Wrong !
The ripples and waves are caused from the use of harsh chemicals with high levels of alkalinity which get behind the fiberglass and literally melt the foam core material.
In most cases, RV’s sit for most months of the year outside, maybe even under a tree. Then, when the owner wants to go on a trip, they will either take it for a wash job or go shopping for “something” that will get it clean. I was one of these people who would go out and get the nastiest cleaning products I could find to try and make the job go easier. Sure it worked but the result included delimitation of the fiberglass form the foam core material.
